茶道裏千家・十五代鵬雲斎（ほううんさい）大宗匠より「御好（おこのみ）」として認められた、由緒ある「濃茶（Koicha）」です。

利休居士（千利休）の四百年忌を記念して銘がつけられた、特別な一品。

お茶会などの晴れの席に最適であり、気品ある香りと、濃厚で奥深い旨味をお楽しみいただけます。

【歴史と伝統】

製造を手掛けるのは、創業450年を誇る宇治の老舗「上林春松本店」。

江戸時代には、茶師の最高位である「御物御茶師（ごもつおちゃし）」として、徳川将軍家や各大名にお茶を納めてきた歴史を持ちます。現在は十四代目当主のもと、その誇りと伝統的な製法を守り続けています。

■「爽明の昔」の由来とこだわり

本品は、裏千家十五代・鵬雲斎大宗匠のお好み（監修・公認）のお茶です。

茶聖・千利休居士の四百年忌（1990年）を記念し、当時の家元であった鵬雲斎宗匠より「爽明（そうめい）の昔」という銘を拝受しました。

「爽明」とは、さわやかで明るく、清らかである様子を表します。

利休居士の心を映すような、澄んだ精神性と深い味わいを兼ね備えた格式高い抹茶です。

Commemorating the 400th Memorial of Rikyu: "Soumei no Mukashi"

This corresponds to "Koicha" (Thick Tea) and is officially recognized as an "O-konomi" (Grand Master's Favorite) by Hounsai Daisosho, the 15th Grand Master of the Urasenke tea tradition.

A Tribute to Sen no Rikyu:

Like the Usucha "Koukonoshiro," this tea was named "Soumei no Mukashi" to commemorate the 400th memorial anniversary of Sen no Rikyu.

"Soumei" signifies a refreshing clarity and brightness. This prestigious Koicha offers a profound taste and aroma, suitable for the most formal tea gatherings.

Produced by Kanbayashi Shunsho Honten, a legendary tea house in Uji established 450 years ago.
