利休居士（千利休）の四百年忌を記念して銘がつけられた、特別な一品。

【歴史と伝統】

製造を手掛けるのは、創業450年を誇る宇治の老舗「上林春松本店」。

江戸時代には、茶師の最高位である「御物御茶師（ごもつおちゃし）」として、徳川将軍家や各大名にお茶を納めてきた歴史を持ちます。現在は十四代目当主のもと、その誇りと伝統的な製法を守り続けています。

■「好古の白」の由来とこだわり

本品は、裏千家十五代・鵬雲斎大宗匠のお好み（監修・公認）のお茶です。

茶聖・千利休居士の四百年忌（1990年）を記念し、当時の家元であった鵬雲斎宗匠より「好古（こうこ）の白」という銘を拝受しました。

「好古」とは、古きをたずね、愛するという意味が込められています。

利休居士の遺徳を偲び、その心を今に伝える格式高い抹茶です。

Commemorating the 400th Memorial of Rikyu: "Koukonoshiro"

This corresponds to "Usucha" (Thin Tea) and is officially recognized as an "O-konomi" (Grand Master's Favorite) by Hounsai Daisosho, the 15th Grand Master of the Urasenke tea tradition.

A Tribute to Sen no Rikyu:

This tea was named "Kouko-no-shiro" to commemorate the 400th memorial anniversary of Sen no Rikyu, the historical figure who perfected the Way of Tea.

"Kouko" means to love and study ancient things. This prestigious Matcha carries the spirit of respecting history and tradition, making it perfect for formal tea gatherings.

Produced by Kanbayashi Shunsho Honten, a legendary tea house in Uji established 450 years ago.
