遠州公が「極上」として好んだ基準にならい、美しい色合いと風味を兼ね備えた一品に仕上げています。

【歴史と伝統】

製造を手掛けるのは、創業450年を誇る宇治の老舗「上林春松本店」。

江戸時代には、茶師の最高位である「御物御茶師（ごもつおちゃし）」として、徳川将軍家や各大名にお茶を納めてきた歴史を持ちます。現在は十四代目当主のもと、その誇りと伝統的な製法を守り続けています。

■「好の白」の由来とこだわり

「好の白（このみのしろ）」の名は、江戸時代初期を代表する茶人・小堀遠州（こぼりえんしゅう）公に由来します。

徳川二代将軍（徳川秀忠）の時代、将軍家の茶道師範であり「お茶吟味役」を務めた小堀遠州公は、「風味に勝る、色白き（色の明るい）お茶」を極上のものとして好まれました。

その好みにちなみ、この抹茶は「好の白」と名付けられています。

Elegant Usucha Loved by Kobori Enshu: "Konominoshiro"

This "Usucha" (Thin Tea) is characterized by a refined and elegant taste, reflecting the aesthetic sense of Kobori Enshu, a famous tea master of the early Edo period.

The Legend of Kobori Enshu and "Fair-Colored Tea":

The name "Konominoshiro" derives from Kobori Enshu, who served as the tea ceremony instructor and "Tea Examiner" for the 2nd Shogun, Tokugawa Hidetada.

Enshu preferred tea that was excellent in flavor and had a "fair (bright/white) color." Following his preference, this tea was named "Konominoshiro" (meaning "White of [Enshu's] Preference").

Authentic Heritage:

Produced by Kanbayashi Shunsho Honten, a legendary tea house in Uji established 450 years ago.
