【歴史と伝統】

製造を手掛けるのは、創業450年を誇る宇治の老舗「上林春松本店」。

江戸時代には、茶師の最高位である「御物御茶師（ごもつおちゃし）」として、徳川将軍家や各大名にお茶を納めてきた歴史を持ちます。現在は十四代目当主のもと、その誇りと伝統的な製法を守り続けています。

■「聖り昔」の由来とこだわり

「聖り昔（ひじりむかし）」は、茶道裏千家十一代・今日庵玄々斎（こんにちあん げんげんさい）宗匠に由来する格式高い銘です。

かつて、十一代上林春松が製した御濃茶を、玄々斎宗匠が大変好まれました。

その美味しさへの評価として、宗匠ご自身よりいただいた茶銘が、この「聖り昔」です。

Historic Koicha Loved by Urasenke Master: "Hijirimukashi"

This is a prestigious Matcha suitable for "Koicha" (Thick Tea), with a direct connection to the Urasenke Tea Tradition.

The Legacy of Gengensai Soshō:

"Hijirimukashi" was named by Gengensai Soshō, the 11th Grand Master of the Urasenke tradition.

Historically, the Grand Master was very fond of the Koicha prepared by the 11th generation head of Kanbayashi Shunsho. As a testament to its exceptional quality, the Grand Master himself bestowed the tea name (Chamei) "Hijirimukashi" upon it.
